Governor Dedicates Solar Panel Array
CSU-Pueblo (CSU), BP Solar, and Black Hills Energy joined Colorado Gov. Master's Degree in History Approved
CSU-Pueblo will offer a master's degree in history this fall following recent approval by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. It will be the University's seventh master's program. The CSU System Board of Governors approved the program in February.
Second Saturday Enrollment
Representatives from across the campus will be available on two second Saturdays this summer to guide new and continuing students, transfers, non-traditional students, and graduate students through the registration and application processes. Streamlined registration and application sessions will be held from 9 a.m. - noon on July 11 and August 8 in the CSU-Pueblo Visitor and Transfer Center, Admin 201.
Sell is 2009 Collegiate Judo Champion
2009 Collegiate National Judo Champion Kathleen Sell (right) and her coach, Ed Liddie.Kathleen Sell, an exercise science major at CSU-Pueblo, returned from the 2009 Collegiate National Judo Championships in California with the top prize in her weight class (70g) and currently is the top ranked athlete in the nation. Cogburn is National Classical Guitar Champ
Cogburn is National Classical Guitar ChampSenior music student Sam Cogburn (Walsh, Colo.) won the 2009 National Solo Competition sponsored by the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) held in mid-March in Atlanta, Ga. Cogburn is a senior studying classical guitar performance and music education.
New Res Halls named for Mountains
The three-building, 750-bed residence hall complex scheduled to open in Fall 2009 and Fall 2010 on the northwest corner of the campus will bear the names of three Southern Colorado mountain peaks -- Crestone, Greenhorn, and Culebra. (full story)
Nursing Program Aids Custer County Clinic
The graduate nursing program will help solve a primary care provider shortage at the Custer County Medical Clinic in Westcliffe. Through a unique partnership, Acute Care and Family Nurse Practitioner (AC/FNP) students will obtain valuable hands-on rural health care experience. (full story)
Father-Son BB Camp for Father's Day
CSU-Pueblo men's basketball team is offering a two-day father/son basketball camp June 20-21 at Pueblo West High School for kids ages 6-18 and dads of any age. And it's no coincidence that the camp falls on Father's Day weekend. (full story)

CSU-Pueblo engineering professors have earned patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office in the last few months along with a separate award for best research paper in a regional competition. (full story)

Fall Sees Largest Freshman Class in History
Fall enrollment confirmed double digit growth predictions, thanks to a substantial increase in the number of incoming freshmen and non-resident students. The 1,033 new freshmen represent the largest freshman class in University history. (full story)

American Legion Riders Help VetsPueblo's American Legion Riders, District 8, Post 2 have established an endowed scholarship to assist honorably discharged veterans, specifically veterans who have served in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, and their families with financial assistance to successfully complete a college degree. Garcia Named Top Senior
Jenna GarciaJenna Garcia, a senior who aspires to change lives as an elementary school math teacher, has been named the 2009 recipient of the Threlkeld Prize for Excellence. The Alamosa native graduated with a bachelor's degree on Saturday, May 2 with a 3.971 graduate point average. (full story)
