CSU–Pueblo features artwork of 1985 graduate Augustine Romero


The Fine Art Gallery at Colorado State University-Pueblo will feature an exhibit of paintings and mixed media sculpture by 1985 graduate Augustine Romero. Augustine’s works include critiques of American identity, border security, the media, and other issues of regional and national significance. An artist talk and reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. tonight (Friday, Jan. 16). The exhibit will remain through Feb. 21.

Since graduating from CSU-Pueblo, Augustine has earned an M.A. in sculpture from New York University and shown his pieces in venues such as Exit Art and the Socrates Sculpture Park, both in New York City. He currently lives and works in Albuquerque, NM, with his wife and children.
