Strategic Plan

 January 2013
To the University Community,
Lesley Di Mare, President, Colorado State University - PuebloWe are beginning the first step to develop a strategic plan that will chart the institutional course of CSU-Pueblo for the next three years. The plan will focus on 2013-2016, and provide us direction as we address our challenges, build upon our strengths, and take advantage of exciting opportunities. Our actions will be driven by our mission and core values as a regional, comprehensive university with a student-centered focus and an enduring commitment to diversity.
Indeed, our strengths are many, with strong academic and student life programs, quality faculty and staff, a beautiful campus, and an exciting athletics program. Our future opportunities are numerous and may include new initiatives that can enhance the teaching and learning experience for our undergraduate and graduate students, ensure we remain accessible, and expand our partnerships in the communities we serve.
However, currently our challenges are also great, as we face budgetary and enrollment concerns that must be addressed through improved financial management procedures, strategic program assessment, and new recruitment and retention initiatives.
Not only will we continue to move the university forward, but we will do it together in a spirit of shared responsibility for the future of CSU-Pueblo.
