The Southern Colorado Reading Series is proud to present our first reading for the year this Thursday, October 24, at 7 pm in the CSU-Pueblo’s LARC Auditorium, Rm. 109. The reading is free and refreshments will be provided.
Tim Z. Hernandez is a poet, novelist, and performance artist whose awards include the 2006 American Book Award, the 2010 Premio Aztlan Prize in Fiction, and the James Duval Phelan Award from the San Francisco Foundation. He is the author of three collections of poetry and two novels, and his books have been widely acclaimed, including a spot on NPR’s All Things Considered. In 2011 the Poetry Society of America named him one of sixteen New American Poets. He holds a BA from Naropa University and an MFA from Bennington College and currently calls the Rocky Mountains home.
