Run, bike, throw, swing, or row your way to Colorado State University – Pueblo campus for the eighth annual X-Challenge scheduled on April 28, 2007.
This year’s competition will be a continuous adventure race format and has considerably expanded in length over last year’s event. The eighth annual X-Challenge Competition will begin at CSU-Pueblo’s Ropes Challenge Course, continued by biking approximately 16 miles to the Lake Pueblo State Park via the Greenway Nature Center. On the way to Lake Pueblo, contestants will complete approximately three miles of run orienteering at Pueblo City Park, a 400-meter open water paddle in the reservoir, and finish with a short run.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Rush-Miller Foundation, a Colorado foundation that donates tandem bicycles to vision-impaired children.
Registration is now underway for the eighth annual X-Challenge Competition. This extreme adventure consists of teams of two (men’s, women’s, and coed teams).
This event is sponsored by students in the CSU-Pueblo Department of Exercise Science and Health Promotion and Recreation, in conjunction with the University’s Experiential Learning Center. Registration is being taken online at http://www.active.com click on Individual Sports search under CSU-Pueblo X-Challenge.
