CSU–Pueblo SIFE group holds raffle to fund trip to nationals

The Students in Free Enterprise organizations at Colorado State University – Pueblo will be raffling off a 46-inch television in order to raise funds to attend a national competition in Dallas, Texas, 7-8. The SIFE team earned the right to attend the national conference by winning the SIFE USA Regional Competition for the second straight year in Denver on March 27. The event was one of 17 SIFE USA Regional Competitions being held across the United States in March and April.

SIFE is an international non-profit organization active on more than 1,400 university campuses in 48 countries. SIFE teams create economic opportunities in their communities by organizing outreach projects that focus on market economics, entrepreneurship, personal financial success skills, and business ethics. During this academic year, the CSU-Pueblo SIFE team organized more than 20 projects in the Pueblo community, including the Pueblo Apprentice and a Super Bowl Pizza Fundraiser for Swallows Charter Academy.

Participants will be vying for a SONY Bravia, 46" Widescreen with LCD HDTV, 2 HDMI. Raffle tickets are $1 each, or six for $5. The drawing will be held at noon on Friday, May 11 in the Occhiato University Center.
